Well, simply put, it's my favorite show on the radio! There is humor intended there. Seriously, here is the show — the why, the who, and anything else you might want to know.

PowerPlayersRadio is a program dedicated primarily to Professional Christian Athletes — but here is the cool part, and why it is different than other sports programs: We don't spend time talking about stats, schedules and scores. You or I can turn on the TV, or 10 or 15 different radio programs, or log on to any number of websites to get that information any time of day. If this program was simply about that, well, we wouldn't last.

We talk with these athletes about their faith in Jesus Christ. We talk about the struggles and the victories in the world of professional sports for a Christian athlete. Some of the stories are so cool. The guests are people who truly have a desire to serve our Lord. Just because an athlete points to the sky doesn't mean they are living it out on and off the field — we all fall short, certainly, but these are athletes who are humbled before the King and ready to use the stage they have been given to advance His Kingdom.

We have great business leaders in the world of sports, team owners, as well as the players. We have even gotten into the world of Christian entertainment a little. Nothing is left out, so that we can appeal to all types of listeners — from volleyball to skateboarding — mainstream to Xtreme — we are into it! All for His Glory!

Here is the coolest part, truly. As we started to get into this programming to talk with these pros about the stage they have been given, we realized that we have a stage too. Now how can we best use that stage? How can this program be more than just entertainment? We started hosting both local and global ministries and dedicating the entire program to their cause. We are giving them the stage to raise awareness and funding for their ministries. We have been so blessed to be able to help other programs with this, and by having them on I can tell you personally that my heart is softened every time I hear what these ministries are doing.
